- Art
The way that I feel about art is simple: I love it. I, myself, am a sketch artist/comic junkie. To this day, I can still remember the first comic that I really truly read, X-Men #49. That was the inspiration that pushed me into doing my own artwork. See, roughly 3 years ago, my mother had cut the cord on the TV leaving me with out entertainment. Then one day, I was walking past the newsstand and saw the Andy Kubert cover art and was hooked! I took that home and couldn't get enough of the art. I craved it. I soon found myself collecting at least 6 different monthly comics and copying every one of them. And now am I trying to get a job in the professional comic book realm.
Music
Have you ever heard the old saying, "Music soothes even the most savage beast?" Whether it be jazz, punk, ska, or my two favorites, oldies and jive. L. Ron Hubbard said it best when he says, "The definition of jive is best expressed by its geographical location: a universe somewhere between rock and jazz. Where the climate is fast and hot, cool and smooth-- just like living is." Whether it's Alien Fashion Show, the Jive Aces, Big Tubba Mista, Brian Setzer, or Glen Miller, the song was right: "It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing!" But, the one thing better than swing is music from 50's 60's and 70's. Yes, I am talking about people like Chuck Barry, Buddy Holly, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Franky Valley and the Four Seasons, the Mammas and the Papas… The list goes on. These are the people that paved the way for the music of today! These are the inventors of rock music, pop culture and good times!
